Cycling Canada Announces National Team Roster for the 2025 Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Rio De Janeiro

OTTAWA, ON (October 10, 2025) – Cycling Canada is proud to announce the Canadian National Team selected to compete at the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships, taking place on October 16–19 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will bring together the world’s top para-cyclists at the Rio Olympic Velodrome, where Team Canada will showcase its pursuit of excellence across the C1-C5 para-cycling category.

Kate O’Brien, a former Olympic track cyclist and Paralympic silver medalist, returns to the track with power and precision in the Women’s C4 class. Mel Pemble (Women’s C3) is back to best her previous performances at last year’s Para-Cycling Track World Championships, having earned silver in the Time Trial and bronze in the Omnium . Jessica Law (Women’s C5) continues to build momentum following her recent appearance at the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in August, adding valuable experience to her palmarès. With preparations well underway at a training camp in Bromont, QC, the team is expected to deliver focused and competitive performances against the world’s best.
