Today was my,  first time doing a lacate threshold test and vertical jump test.  I found it to be a lot of fun and learned a bunch! I felt like on the threshold I could have done a bit better but that’s how most people feel the first time they try.  In the afternoon we hit up the velodrome, working on our power and becoming comfortable with the track and riding with others.  Thank you to Cycling BC and all their supporters and sponsors for making camps like these possible!

Learning what to do with our results and to train more efficiently

Today was my first training camp with the rest of the team, it was great to meet everyone else, there’s a lot of fast kids on the team and it should make for a great year!  WE spent the morning doing lactate threshold testing and some vertical jump testing too.  In the afternoon we got to ride at the velodrome – a very new and unique experience. I’m excited for the rest of the camp and year with the team!  Thank you to all the sponsors for helping the team attend great camps!

Today was my second camp with Cycling BC for the 2014 season, the lactate thresh hold test was super hard, but fun.  I’ve done some testing before, but nothing so specific.  We learned alot from Lewis afterwards who explained what our results meant, how to read/understand them which should help us better maximize our training time. WE spent the afternoon at the track which also super fun. I have been there quite a few times but not in a while so it took me some time getting up to speed, but once I did it was awesome – thanks for having us!  And thank you to all the sponsors for supporting the team!
