Open to: Anyone 18+

Description: This one-day introductory course is for those looking to know more about the cycling officiating. The course will cover the rules, teach you how to read a license, handle registration, provide information about start/finish procedures, corner rules, finish line procedure and much more. At the conclusion of the course, you will have a greater understanding of the role of a commissaire, increased knowledge of the BMX specific rules and understand how to progress through the ranks from a level C trainee to an international commissaire.

Newly trained officials will be prepared to start participating in CBC’s mentorship program, putting into practice the theory and skills learned at the course, under the supervision of experienced commissaires to complete their level C certification. Mentorship opportunities will be available over the course of the 2018-2019 indoor and summer seasons.
