Learn to Race ROAD54

A pilot project designed for Category 4 & 5 riders who wish to improve skills and confidence riding in a group and/or competitive setting. The program includes one 3-hour outdoor skill development and assessment session. This session is optional.

Participants who carry a Cycling BC Provincial Race membership ($120) in Road Category 5 and demonstrate the required competencies may upgrade to category 4, bypassing the standard requirement of completing three cat 5 events.  Category 4 riders or members with a UCI Cycling For All membership ($80) are welcome to attend for educational purposes or a refresher.

Location: RJ Tait Elementary, 10071 Finlayson Dr, Richmond, BC

Cycling BC is offering a Tsawwassen ferry pickup and drop-off for Victoria members who wish to attend the module. Our February 27th booking sold out so we are offering this Saturday session as well.

Registration: $25 to all current Cycling BC members in Road Cat 5 or Cat 4, age 15+

  • Shoulder bumping
  • Move up in a group
  • Corner in a group
  • Paceline
  • Rotating paceline
  • Pedalling out of the saddle
