Basic Cycling Skills (all disciplines)

This 8-hour workshop provides coaches with the understanding and expertise required to instruct the 8 basic and 8 intermediate skills of cycling. Workshop material covers skill analysis, observation, and corrective feedback – all vital skills for coaches of both new and experienced cyclists looking to improve.  This course is part of both the Community Initiation stream and the Competition-Introduction stream.

Special Funding:

This project has been funded in part by a grant from viaSport BC and the Province of British Columbia. Course registration fees have been reduced by 50%.  Additional travel support is available for those traveling over 100km to attend the course. Please contact coaching@cyclingbc.net to learn more.

  • Portfolio (Submit Online)
  • Online Examination (specific to Skills & Tactics courses)

Special Requests: If you would like to organize a special NCCP event in your community, Cycling BC will travel to your area at our earliest availability. A minimum of 10 participants is required for these special events.
Refunds: If you need unable to attend your course, please notify us immediately. To receive a refund, 72-hour notice must be provided. Non-refundable fees apply. To receive a transfer of registration to a future offering, 24-hour notice must be provided. Transfers of registration will only be honored within a given calendar year.
