iRide Orientation

This outdoor workshop is the final step of Cycling BC’s iRide Instructor Program and provides the opportunity to practice teaching the iRide school and after-school lessons.

This module is NOT open to the public and participants have been vetted by Cycling BC and are in the process of becoming an iRide school instructor or an iRide After-School Grant Recipient.  All pre-requisites must be already completed in order to attend, including a Criminal Background Screening and the iRide eLearning module.

In order to pass this module, all participants must demonstrate their ability to lead the group, model correct skill techniques, and create a fun and safe learning environment.

  • Community Theory
  • Basic Skills
  • iRide eLearning & Quiz

Module includes:

  1. Practice teach 3 iRide Movements
  2. Practice teach 1-2 iRide Games

Notes:

  • Cycling BC members who are 15 years of age can apply for special consideration and attend this module. Email us to apply.
  • If you are working with riders aged 10+, please instead take a Club Coach Skills module.
  • Please note, registration may close up to 72 hours prior to the event start.
