iRide Orientation

iRide Orientation (Private Event in partnership with SpiritNorth)

This 7.5-hour workshop provides new instructors with an opportunity to practice leading in-school and after-school lesson plans.  To help maximize our time together, all participants must pass a knowledge test prior to participating in the orientation.  iRide instructor onboarding resources and access to this open-book test will be available to new staff members and grant applicants at least 30 days prior to this in-person training day.

iRide Instruction Training Process:

• Identified as a prospective-instructor or successful grant recipient
• Purchase Cycling BC Member
• Submit Background Screening
• Access iRide Curriculum and Games Resources
• Complete iRide eLearning modules & quiz
• Complete in-person workshops
  • NCCP: Community
  • NCCP: Basic Skills
  • iRide Orientation
• Follow-up mentorship (on-site) by iRide Manager
• Participate in weekly 30min web calls (open to all instructors)
