Cycling Safety Instructor Training

This combination theory/practical workshop prepares instructors to lead road safety clinics. The module includes a 3-hour theory module and 9 hours of outdoor practice teaching. To achieve certification, co-instruct with an experienced safety instructor and submit a reflective worksheet.

Cycling BC would like to recognize content contributions and support from the British Columbia Cycling Coalition (Bike Sense), the Comox Valley Cycling Coalition, and Go By Bike BC to create this unique module.

  • Position
  • Route planning
  • Urban riding
  • Rural riding
• Safety skills & games
• Introduction to LTR Road6 skills & games
• Introduction to group ride-leading basics

Schedule:

• Saturday, April 22 @ 9 am – 3 pm
• Sunday, April 23 @ 9 am – 3 pm

Pre-Requisites:

• Register as a Cycling BC member or purchase a single-event license (included during registration)
