Where Western Canada’s Endurance Event Leaders Build Stronger, More Sustainable Events.

Now entering its 13th year, the Race Directors’ Conference remains the premier professional development forum for endurance event organizers across Canada. Co-hosted by Triathlon BC, BC Athletics, and Cycling BC, this in-person gathering brings together industry leaders responsible for more than 250 sanctioned events and over 300,000 participant experiences annually across regional, provincial, national, and international calendars.

Designed as a highly collaborative and solutions-focused event, the Conference delivers practical insights, peer learning, and strategic discussions that address the evolving realities of endurance sport and event delivery. Through keynote presentations, expert panels, and interactive working sessions, attendees will leave equipped with actionable tools to strengthen operations, improve participant experience, and position their events for long-term success.

WHY ATTEND

Centered around the two pillars of Professionalizing Sport Delivery & Elevating the Athlete Experience, this year’s program will provide practical strategies and real-world insights across key areas of event management and growth, including:

• Brand & Storytelling: Learn how to craft compelling narratives that engage participants, partners, media, and communities.

• Risk, Safety & Crisis Management: Gain practical insights from real-world case studies and emerging trends in event risk management.

• Waivers and Assumptions: Navigate the unknown – or the assumed – around event waivers and indemnity. Gain insight from legal experts.

• Strategic Networking & Collaboration: Through tabletop strategies and problem-solving, build meaningful connections with event organizers, industry partners, and sport leaders from across Western Canada.

Tier II – Regular (October 6 – November 11): $75.00
Tier III – Final Week (November 12 – November 19): $99.00
