Sidney Velo Mill Bay Road Race

A British Columbia Masters Cycling Association/Victoria Cycling League race, organized by the Sidney Velo Cycling Club

Sunday, April 21, 2019 — Noon Start

Sign on: Kerry Park Arena, 1035 Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road (1 km east of Highway 1) on the east side of the building in the curling rink from 1100 to 1145.  This is a 20 to 61-km road races open to all ages

Start: Corner of Wilkinson Road and Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road just west of the Kerry Park Arena. First of the A, B, C ability-based groups starts at noon.

Distance: Distance:  61 km(hilly) for A group, approx 50 km for B and 40 km for C. There will be an option of a two-lap race (20 km) following behind groups A, B, and C.

Course: Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road to Shawnigan Lake village, right on Shawnigan Lake Road, right on Cameron-Taggert Road, right back on to Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road and repeat 5 more times, finishing at Carlton Drive about 150 m before Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road.

All riders must have a Provincial Ride or Race Licence or UCI Race Licence or proof of purchase. No licence, no ride. Non-Member One-Day Insurance will be available for $10 (16 & under) or $15 (17 & over).

Refreshments and awards will be at the Kerry Park Arena after the race.
