Victoria BC’s ONLY mass participation off-road cycling event for all ages and abilities winds through flowy pine-needle trails and hairpin turns, over hills, roots and rocks, and churns through chunky peanut butter mud and puddles. Oh, and maybe a few hike-a-bike sections to keep it legit.
Featuring: The Highlands. Hartland Mountain Bike Park. Camosun College. Francis King & Thetis Lake Regional Parks. Private property that owners are opening up for this one day. Short (approx 20 KM) and long course (approx 40 KM) options.
Worried about how much energy you’ll expend? You’ll be kept fuelled along the route! And when you’re done, you can relax with food and a bevvie as you recharge sitting at tables with classy white tablecloths and flower arrangements and exchange stories with your muddy teammates!
This event is a fund raiser for the Tripleshot Cycling Club youth racing team and will support the development of year-round training for 11-22 year olds who train hard and love to compete in cross, road, track and mountain bike at local, provincial, national and international levels. In 2016, we were able to donate $1600 of the funds raised to support the South Vancouver Island Nature Trail Society and its mission of connecting trail systems, in part thanks to generous donations of the participants.
