Cycling BC is excited to announce the dates and locations for the 2025 Provincial Championships in Road, BMX, Mountain Bike Cross-country (XC), and Downhill (DH).
The Provincial Championships showcase the best cycling talent in British Columbia and crown the province’s top riders across disciplines. Mark your calendars and prepare for an exciting season of provincial championship racing in BC.
BC Provincial Road (Time Trial, Road Race & Criterium) Championships
Date: May 30 – June 1, 2025 (Friday – TT, Saturday – RR, & Sunday – Crit)
Location: Greater Victoria Region
Event Host/Organizer: Victoria Cycling League (VCL)
BC Provincial Mountain Bike Cross-country (XC) Championships
Date: Sunday, June 22, 2025
Location: Mount Work – Hartland, Victoria, BC
Event Host/Organizer: Island Cup Series (combined BC Championships and Island Cup series final)
BC Provincial BMX Championships
Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025
Location: Surrey, BC
Event Host/Organizer: Action BMX
BC Provincial Mountain Bike Downhill (DH) Championships
Date: Sunday, August 24, 2025
Location: Big White, Kelowna, BC
Event Host/Organizer: Big White Resort (combined BC Cup and BC Championships race)
Cycling BC will announce the dates for the Track and Cyclo-cross Provincial Championships later this year as details are finalized.
The Provincial Championships allows riders to showcase their talent, improve their skills, gain valuable experience, and compete for the prestigious BC Provincial Champion title and jersey in their categories.
“These championship events represent the essence of provincial competition and play a key role in athlete and race development in our province,” said Christine Reid, Executive Director of Cycling BC. “We’re proud to partner with clubs and organizers across the province to deliver these experiences for riders of all levels.”
While anyone with a valid race licence can participate in these events, to qualify for a provincial championship, riders must have either a BC Provincial Race licence or a UCI Race licence and must be a resident of BC. Get your 2025 Cycling BC licence today.
