For ten Monday’s starting Sept 24th and running through Dec 10 there will be track hours from 8-11 PM.

Wednesday Nights

These will be structured training sessions that will continue with a coached session but with a few changes. This year these sessions will be free to attend regardless if you are a member or a drop in guest. The time slot will run from 6:30pm until 7:30pm and will be exclusive to that workout.

7:30-8:30 will be structured open training followed by new riders until close at 10 PM.The youth program continues to grow and flourish and will continue in the same format as before with some slight changes. BVC Coach Jeremy Storie will run the Wednesday sessions from 4-5:30 for the more experienced Youth and Junior riders with assistance from Mike Rothengatter. Mike will handle the Monday sessions from 4-6 PM for the new youth riders.

The try three for free policy is still in effect. Anyone under 19 can come out and try the Velodrome during the Monday session with a coach provided along with a rental bike for free three times. If they wish to continue then a membership, punch pass or drop in fee must be purchased.   Note: Rental for youth under 19 are always free.

The previously known Learn to Ride classes 1,2, and 3 have now been condensed and renamed Intro to Track . These take place primarily on Saturday nights (see schedule) and require an additional 3 monitored sessions to be completed. This is done with a single booking unlike the older 3-part system.

Intro to Racing will be very similar in nature to previously named Learn to Race and will be offered throughout the season to coincide with Friday Night racing and weekend races. Note: completion of Intro to Track is a pre-requisite for Intro to Racing which is mandatory for Friday Night racing at Burnaby. Exceptions can be granted with application made to Program Director, Jeremy Storie.
