Can Cycling National Level Track Commissaire Course in Toronto, ON– December 7-8th 2013

Cycling Canada is coordinating a National Level Track Commissaire course scheduled to take place in Toronto, ON– December 7-8th 2013. The course will be presented in English by Louise Lalonde, UCI Designated Track Course Instructor.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be considered a candidate for National Commissaire, the person must be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of application. The person must also have held the status of Provincial A Level Commissaire in the applied cycling sport for a minimum of 2 years.

The person shall also have received a favorable review from the Provincial Chief Commissaire, or other provincially recognized competent authority for commissairing matters, in the province/territory in which they reside. Participants must be recommended for the course by their PSO.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Eligible candidates must complete the attached application form and return to CC along with the registration fee.

Registration fee: $100.00

We require a minimum of 6 candidates to hold the course and registration will be capped at a maximum of 12 candidates. Registration forms will be accepted in the order that they are received.

The registration deadline is Monday November 11. Candidates will receive confirmation as registrations are received.

COURSE SUMMARY: (Tentative outline – subject to change)
Candidates will be asked to arrive on the afternoon of December 6th in Toronto with start at 5pm.
· Friday, December 6th -17h00-20h00 -Classroom
· Saturday, December 7th – All day (09h00 start) – Classroom session.
· Sunday, December 8th – All day (09h00 start -15h00) – Classroom session
NOTE: Participants must complete a practical component for Track at an approved National level event during the 2014 or 2015 season.

ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL:
Candidates are responsible for their own costs and arrangements associated with travel, accommodation and meals. CC is exploring the availability of affordable room rates at a local hotel. Please indicate on the registration form the dates accommodation would be required if interested in this option. CC will confirm availability and rates to participants.
