Cycling BC Announces New Board Chair and Executive Committee

Burnaby, BC, September 24, 2020 – Cycling BC is pleased to announce that its board of directors have elected Matt Usborne as the new board chair. Usborne who has served as a director at large on the Cycling BC board for the past two years was recently re-elected to another three-year term at the 2020 Annual General Meeting on September 15th. He succeeds outgoing chair, Willa Kriebel, who has served on the board since 2016 and as board chair since 2018. Willa will continue to serve on the board for one year as past chair to help facilitate the transition of leadership before retiring from the board.

In addition, the Cycling BC board of directors elected Andrea Wooles as the new board vice chair, Taylor Little as the new board treasurer, and Parker Bloom as the new board secretary.

“It has been an honour to serve as Cycling BC’s board chair for the past couple of years and I thank my fellow board members for giving me the opportunity.”, said Kriebel. “After serving on the board with Matt over the past couple of years, I am confident that the board will continue to make a positive impact under his leadership.”

I want to thank them for their commitment to the organization.”
