Cycling BC is making small updates to the Coach Excellence and SafeSport policy to further encourage youth coaches and adult instructors to achieve Club-Assistant status and beyond, while reducing barriers to attending practices for mentee purposes.
In 2025, the policy reduces the requirement for ALL coaches attending such events to hold Club-Assistant status and beyond. Rather, the policy requires a minimum of ONE coach with the required accreditation. Coaches and instructors who are fulfilling a support role or attending for mentorship purposes can access professional liability coverage courtesy of affiliation and membership with Cycling BC by holding CHAPERONE status.
