Future Champions Camp – April 2022 Update

Being held between June 30th and July 3rd at Camp Pringle on Vancouver Island, the 2022  Future Champions Camp will combine racing, group rides, and lectures in a fun, relaxed setting.

The Future Champions Camp is an opportunity for motivated young cyclists to gain knowledge and inspiration from qualified coaches, elite cyclists, and their peers.

Here is the latest update about the camp—

Vancouver Island Motor Circuit

The 2022 Camp kicks off with a bang at the local private motor circuit. With 17 turns and a max incline of 12%, cornering and pack position will be essential. National Coach Nigel Ellsay inspected the track in March and noted “On the racetrack, riders will be able to drive on and over the climb, then attack its twisty descent. The racetrack contains features we see riders encountering in Europe, so the course will make for great practice runs in a home environment.” Learn More

 Camp Pringle – Gearing Up

The camp is run by the United Church of Canada, and nestled in a beautiful 22-acre property on the shores of Shawnigan Lake. Riders can look forward to 3 meals per day in the airy day lodge. Also expect lively discussions about racing led by our knowledgeable coaches and special guest speakers*. Dorms are old-school cabins. Athletes are asked to bring their own sleeping bag and pillow. We also recommend that anyone booking bedding through Camp Pringle bring an extra warm blanket – just in case. View Camp Pringle
