CX Provincial Championships Return to Knox Mountain on Nov.6, 2022

After nearly three years since the last cyclocross provincial championships in BC, Chainline Cycle will welcome riders from across the province to compete for provincial CX titles on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Knox Mountain Park in Kelowna.

The School of Hard Knox race presented by ChainLine Cycle with The Lions Cyclery will close out the BC Interior Cyclocross series for 2022. The BCICX series has had a welcome return with races in Salmon Arm, Penticton, Kamloops, Vernon, and the final stop at Knox Mountain Park in Kelowna.

Knox mountain was the venue of the last CX Provincials held in 2019 where Craig Richey of North Vancouver and Sandra Walter of Coquitlam claimed provincial championship titles in the Elite Men and Elite Women categories respectively. As there were no CX provincial championships in 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, everyone was looking forward to a return to the championships in 2021 but continuing restrictions on gatherings followed by severe weather events in BC would end up cancelling cross provincials for the second year in a row.
