Hi! I am Georgina and I am excited to offer an after-school community cycling program in Mission for the 3rd year in a row this spring! I am passionate about our community, our trails and riding bikes with people of all ages! Let’s go riding!
Our program offers a fun, safe and memorable community program available to local participants aged 8-11 with an iRide skill level 3, 4, or 5. This program works in harmony with the Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association to help kids access rental bikes. As recipients of a Cycling BC iRide Development Grant, I have undergone NCCP-training with Cycling BC to help us utilize both the iRide skills and Sprockids skills curriculum and help your child build confidence, foster friendships and develop intermediate and advanced bicycle skills.
Our sessions plan to stay close to the park, utilize local trails, easy green trails and recreational parks to practice skills. All sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Jones Brown.
This learn-to-ride program covers a variety of topics that involve all aspects of riding. Participants will learn riding techniques such as uphill, downhill, tight turns, braking, gearing, and how to properly adjust their bike to fit themselves.
If your child enjoys their iRide Sprockids experience, perhaps we’ll see you one of Cycling BC’s iRide Summer Camps or Youth Clubs.
