Prices include fat tire crit entry on Saturday, XCO race on sunday, and access to post-race draw prizes and snacks.
Beer prizes will be supplied by Tree Brewing.
Grand draw prize will be a Marin XC mountain bike. All participants and volunteers will be eligible to win.
The XCO course will be 6 km in length, with a mix of long sustained and short punchy climbs, and a mix of fast flowing descents and shorter technical sections (with ride arounds).
There may be an Enduro segment as well, mid-course, that we will be using Strava for. In order to be competitive in this category, you will need a Strava-equipped device, and you will check in with the officials post-race to submit your fastest time over that segment on race day. The segment will be released the morning of the main events, with on-course markings.
There will be individual rankings for the Crit, XCO and Enduro events, as well as Weekend Overall Winners (most points from all three events).
This race is part of the 2016 XC BC Cup Series, which features six of BC’s top mountain bike races.
Points are calculated from the results of each race and then riders are ranked in the series standings. To qualify for a final series standing, riders must participate in a minimum of three races, plus the series final on August 12th. Final series standings will be calculated from the best 3 out of the first 5 races, plus finals. Overall series winners will be presented with their award at the BC Cup Finals on August 12th in Whistler.
