Event Information

Hagensborg Wildcats p/b iRide

Hi! I am Kevin Gianakos and I am excited to offer a new youth cycling program in Hagensborg this autumn! I love riding my mountain bike and am excited to share my riding experiences with your little shredders.

This year’s program includes 6 sessions and offers a fun, safe and memorable community after-school program available to local participants aged 6-12 with a skill level of 3-4.    As a recipient of a Cycling BC iRide Development Grant, I have undergone NCCP-training with Cycling BC and iRide, and have learned how to utilize both the NCCP  and iRide skills curriculum and help your child build confidence, create a fun environment and develop intermediate and advanced bicycle skills.

Our sessions plan to stay close to Nusatsum Elementary, utilizing local features and trails. All sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Marsh Canada.

This 6-week learn-to-ride program covers a variety of topics that involve all aspects of riding. Participants will learn riding techniques such as uphill, downhill, tight turns, braking, gearing, and how to properly adjust their bike to fit themselves. If your child enjoys their iRide Sprockids experience, perhaps we’ll see you one of Cycling BC’s iRide Summer Camps or Youth Clubs.
