Building a Stronger Cycling Community

Cycling BC includes over 6,000 members and 100 cycling clubs/teams (2023).

We’ve trained over 80 ride leaders to help ensure safer and higher-quality experiences for recreational riders.

We are developing over 110 targeted athletes through high-performance programs that include coaching, training camps, access to enhanced resources and competition.

We sanctioned over 80 events in BC, including Provincial Championships, mass participation events, and local grassroots races in communities all over BC (2023).

We supported over 30 coaches to achieve National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certification in 2023.

Investing in the Future of Cycling

Cycling BC’s HopOn youth programs helped get over 5,500 kids on bikes in BC (2023).

Our in-school programs sold out to 40 different schools throughout the province.

We saw a 30% growth in participation in our summer camps and community expos.

We trained instructors in outlying regions including Nakusp, Terrace, and Campbell River to expand our reach to smaller communities.

We’ve seen programs created for underrepresented groups such as girls, Indigenous youth, and newcomers to Canada.

Together, we can foster a thriving cycling community in BC.
