Cycling BC presents a women-only Learn to Race ROAD54 in alliance with Ruckus Racing—a race team and development ground for women, by women.
This 4-hour skills and riding clinic is designed for road cyclists who want to learn how to ride in a group and feel more confident in a competitive riding environment.
Skills covered include:
Over the day, we will tackle each skill through games, activities, and challenges. The session occurs in controlled paved and grass areas before some open-road riding in the afternoon. Flat pedals and running shoes are strongly encouraged for the morning skill session. Let us know during registration if you wish to borrow a pair of flat pedals. The afternoon group ride is an opportunity to practice race-specific skills and athletes may be allowed to complete a 10-20 minute effort per their individual training needs.
Participants who complete the clinic may earn experience credits towards their Category 4 upgrade. Those who exceed expectations may be permitted to upgrade to Category 4 without the normally required three race starts. Learn more about category upgrades.
