Daryl-Evans Racing is hosting the BC Cup Finals on Dec 3rd at the same venue as last year, MAP. We are working hard to include some excellent features that will bring the level of this event to a new height:
Food for all racers will be provided by the Chili Tank courtesy of Cycling BC as a way to celebrate a great year of CX racing in BC. We will rent a heated 20×20 tent so that you have a warm, dry place to enjoy the other races and the food.
Free coffee and hot chocolate will be provided by Tim Horton’s.
Neutral Pit support will be provided by Rocky Cycle.
We will be testing a computerized program that will provide instantaneous results including lap times for all racers.
Based on rider comments about the cold start at the South Surrey CX we will put up a 10×20 tent at the start line with places to hang jackets so that you can stay warm and dry before the start and have a warm layer to put on right after the finish. Space will be limited but trainers are also welcome here, it is a thick grass surface though.
Cycling BC will be rewarding double BC Cup Points for this event which means that every single category is still up for grabs. Click HERE for an updated points list.
Please pin your numbers on the left side of your jersey.
Draw prizes include not 1 but 3 Rocky Mountain framesets courtesy of Peninsula Cycles and Rocky Mountain as well as great podium prizes from Rocky Mountain Bicycles and Maxxis. You need to be present to claim draw prizes.
Pre-registration is now open through CCN, $25 and $30 day of the event.
Here is the tentative Course Map which is subject to change depending on weather, pre-riding the course is encouraged. It will include a 10 step stair case, a trip through the sand pit, lots of off-camber grass, several short but steep climbs combined with plenty of fast open sections that will test all of your CX skills.
If you need a refresher here is a little video from Jeremy Sayers from last year’s event.
