Along with many other events in BC that have been cancelled or postponed as a result of the COVID-19 Coronavirus global pandemic, the Escape Velocity Spring Series has been put on hold, effective immediately, until further notice.
On Thursday, March 12, the BC Government and its top health officials recommended that large gatherings of 250 people or more be cancelled, urged British Columbians to avoid all non-essential travel outside of the country, and practice ‘social distancing’ as a means to slow down the rapidly escalating spread of the virus.
Organizers of the popular race series have taken heed of this message and will be following the lead of provincial health officials when it comes to determining when it is safe to resume the series.
