Cycling BC members can apply for grants to help attend NCCP courses and other professional development opportunities (fuel and course fees). Applications open December 1st and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tour de Delta / Sport Canada Grant
Each year, Sport Canada and the Tour de Delta team up to offer 8 Cycling BC member FREE entry to an NCCP Community course. This course is often run in late September.

viaSport Coach Grants
Each year viaSport offers many different grants including:
Ride-along Program
Cycling BC’s Ride-Along Program is a coach development initiative that connects instructors and club coaches with a Cycling BC coach developer. Support is available to Cycling BC members currently pursuing an NCCP coach pathway and have submitted a criminal record check.

Coaches have many responsibilities and one of them is to ensure they provide a safe environment for the athlete and for themselves. When athletes and athletes’ parents entrust a coach as a leader they assume they have taken steps to become a responsible coach which includes implementing the 3 steps to Responsible Coaching.
