Let’s Ride! Community Initiation and Ready to Race! Competition-Introduction Learning Facilitator Training

Role of the Learning Facilitator: Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be qualified to teach NCCP community and competition-introduction cycling courses. Before delivering a course, all Learning Facilitators must first co-deliver a course with a certified LF.

Friday January 10- 6pm-10pm
Saturday January 11- 9am-5pm
Sunday January 12- 9am-5pm

Registration: confirm you registration by email to Elizabeth.Kiraly@cyclingcanada.ca by December 15th, 2013. Please indicate your NCCP#. A maximum of 12 participants will be accepted.

Requirements for participation:
– Certification as a Cycling coach in the specific stream/context;
– Coaching experience with cyclists in the specific stream/context;
– Teaching or facilitation experience in an adult education environment (NCCP, sport, professional or other).
– Be a minimum of eighteen years of age at the time of LF/E training;
– Able to communicate effectively in English and/or French;
– Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the new NCCP structure;
– Commitment to the time required for facilitation of workshop sessions.

Some requirements for certification may be waived by the CC coach development Committee if the coach can provide evidence of a similar level of certification from another national coach education program OR other sport OR if the coach has other relevant qualifications. Recognition of qualifications will be at the sole discretion of CC.
