With the outdoor BMX season now just underway, the Provincial high-performance team gathered at Action BMX for their third team training camp of the season. With Action BMX hosting Provincial Championships in just two weeks’ time, the team was looking to get a little edge up on their competition by getting some good training on the track before the event.
This track offers a great variety of technical sections for the team to push the limits of their skill. Along with skill progression, the team also worked with their coach Mischa Partridge and assistant Jarred Ennis to prepare their race lines and strategies for the upcoming competition.
“The team this year is a good group of riders close in ability, which really allows me to work on race like situations,” said Partridge. The level of competition is always high at these sessions with some of the best riders in the province working together to push one another.
Next time the team is together will be for Provincial Championships on May 26th. Although some of the toughest competition may very well come from one of their fellow team members, the group is always great at keeping it fun between races.
