Cycling BC has an opportunity for members to play a key role in ensuring that decisions related to targeted athlete selection, the selection of athletes for projects, and policies related to High Performance (HP) programming are made with input, expertise, and support from the Cycling BC community. A Cycling BC High Performance Committee will be established to serve this function and will be responsible for policy research and recommendations on the following,
- Anti-doping infractions
- Provincial Teams selections
- Regional Coach selections
- HP Team appeals
- HP Policies
Committee members will be appointed for a term of two years and will meet in-person or by teleconference a minimum of three times per year.
Volunteering as a committee member is an excellent way to to make an impact with your cycling community as well as to develop a better understanding of high performance programs for competitive cyclists in BC and Canada.
If you are interested in volunteering on the High Performance Committee, please review the High Performance Committee Terms of Reference and contact the High Performance Program Manager, Tara Mowat, with your expression of interest and please specify which role on the committee you are interested in.
