Cycling BC is excited to announce the dates for the 2023 Provincial Championships for BMX, Mountain Bike Cross-country (XCO), and Road (Time Trial & Road Race). This year’s calendar features a variety of challenging races for all riders, from seasoned vets to those new to the race scene.
The 2023 BC Provincial Championships calendar will be kicking off on BC’s Victoria Day long weekend with the road race and time trial championships. The Thrashers Bike Club will host the BC Road Race Championships on Sunday, May 21st & the BC Time Trial Championships on Monday, May 22nd, both will be taking place in the Township of Langley.
From there, we move on to the Mountain Bike Cross-country Provincial Championships on Saturday, June 3rd, which will return to the iconic private lands of Glenridge Acres located in Abbotsford, BC. Riders of all ages and skill levels will have the opportunity to shred on the property’s diverse trail network of forested single-track climbs and fast flowy descents.
We then switch it up from 29″ wheels down to 20″ as fans of BMX will be able to watch riders display speed, agility, and bike-handling skills as they compete for BMX Provincial Championships glory on Saturday, June 17th, at the spectator-friendly Action BMX track in Surrey, BC.

Cycling BC is currently assessing various options and working with organizers to determine dates for the 2023 BC Provincial Championships for the Criterium, Downhill, Track, and Cyclo-cross Provincial Championships, which will be announced at a later date.
In the meantime, so far, the 2023 Cycling BC Provincial Championships schedule is as follows:

While anyone with a valid licence can participate in these events, in order to qualify for a provincial championship, riders must have a Cycling BC Provincial Race licence or UCI Race licence and must be a resident of BC. Provincial champions will receive a champion’s jersey at the conclusion of their championship event and will also receive a provincial championship trophy at the end of the season.
