Victoria BC: The Accent Inns/Russ Hay’s Cycling Team p/b Scotiabank has revealed its new racing kit for the 2015 season with an all white jersey, new red highlights, and central black area. The team shorts will remain black with white side panels and leg bands.
“For this season, we will stand out more and look very sharp in the new colours,” said team Manager Jon Watkin, “When combined with our Specialized Team Helmet, Shoes, and Team Tarmac Bikes, our riders will look professional, which will inspire them to get out there and race their heart out.”
As new official team clothing supplier, Champion System will be equipping the 2015 athletes with a comprehensive range of high performance apparel. This includes the Airpro Jersey. Pro Bib Shorts, Speedsuit, Thermoshield and WindGuard Jackets/Vests, Cycling Caps, Gloves, Shoe Covers, Tech T’s, Track Pants and Jacket.
Reigning U23/Junior National Cyclocross National Champions Danick Vandale and Oliver Evans will be racing cyclocross in their new custom CS “National Champion” Cross Speedsuits while Cody Canning and Jordan Landolt will each have a special BC Champion kit for road and time trial respectively.
The Accent Inns Russ Hay’s Cycling Team p/b Scotiabank is a BC amateur trade cycling team that has gained national recognition for developing and producing some of Canada’s top cycling talent. In 2013, the team captured the Canadian National Time Trial Championship with Curtis Dearden and also won the 2014 Grand Prix Cycliste Quebec Sprint Challenge with Cody Canning. The team has won numerous Provincial Championships in Road and Track and is expanding its program to cyclocross for 2015. Most recently, new addition to the team, Zayne Heyes, won the silver medal in the Elite Men’s Omnium at the 2014 Canadian National Track Championships in Milton Ontario. Cyclocross National Champions Danick Vandale and Oliver Evans are due to race at the World Cyclocross Championships in the Czech Republic at the end of January.
