Cycling BC is offering two cycling NCCP Competition Introduction stream workshops in March:
1) Training Basics, and (March 15-16)
2) Basic Cycling Skills (March 31)
Training Basics
About: Covers the principles of coaching practice, safety, risk management, practice planning, nutrition, and development in a class setting.
Cost: $185 (Payment can be made by credit card, please contact Diana Hardie: 604-737-3136)
When: The workshops is scheduled over two separate days
- Fri evening Mar 15, 1800-2200h, and
- Sunday Mar 17, 0900-1700h.
The final date for registration in Training Basics is Monday March 11.

Basic Cycling Skills
About: Covers the fundamental skills of cycling including how to observe, analyse, feedback, and teach in a practical setting.
Cost: $80 (Payment can be made by credit card, please contact Diana Hardie: 604-737-3136)
When: Sunday Mar 31, 1000-1700h.
There are a limited number of 12 spots available in the workshops.
The final date for registration in Basic Cycling Skills is Monday March 25.
We require a minimum of 8 participants registered by the deadline to run the workshop or it will be postponed.
Note: Any club or group can also request a cycling NCCP workshop for any date with four weeks notice where it can provide at least 8 participants.
Additional Information
Both of the workshops are a part of the cycling NCCP pathway in the Competition stream and lead to accreditation toward coaching credentials. A summary of the full cycling NCCP workshop/training pathway is included here for reference.

7) Cycling NCCP Coach Portfolio Evaluation (at-home practical written task)
8) Candidate Evaluation on-site supporting athletes in competition (provincial-level event)
Note: #8 can also be completed through Cycling Canada as a multi-module online evaluation process.
