Cycling BC, the governing body for the sport of cycling in British Columbia, is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Cycling Lawyer, a British Columbia web-based personal injury service that links injured cyclists with a qualified cycling lawyer.
With the partnership commencing in January 2020, Cycling BC will be able to leverage the legal expertise of The Cycling Lawyer and share this information with the Cycling BC community. “We’re excited to partner with The Cycling Lawyer and help connect our members to an invaluable resource,” says Erin Waugh, Executive Director of Cycling BC. “A lot of people don’t know what to do if they are involved in an accident while riding their bikes, or even what their rights are. We’re glad we have someone on our side that can help with that aspect of cycling.”
Joel Zanatta, The Founder of the Cycling Lawyer, is an avid cyclist and a lawyer with 20 years of experience in personal injury law. As the Principal of The Cycling Lawyer, he’s determined to share his wisdom and help other cyclists navigate through the murky process of litigation. A member of Cycling BC himself, Zanatta is looking forward to working with the association to develop resources and communications that will help his fellow Cycling BC members.
“I am passionate about cycling and the law. I created The Cycling Lawyer so that the cycling community has convenient access to top legal talent. I believe that cyclists are important and their legal rights need protection.”
