Give the gift of cycling this #GivingTuesday by donating to Cycling BC. Your gift supports youth cycling development programs like Cycling BC iRide to encourage physical activity among youth and Cycling BC’s High Performance program to help competitive athletes achieve their fullest potential in sport.

Tuesday, December 1st, is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving and celebrating the positive impact that giving, volunteering, and kindness can have in our communities.

In 2019, Cycling BC provided athletes with opportunities to participate in race projects in BMX, Road, Track, and Mountain Bike including Junior Road Nationals and World Mountain Bike Championships in Quebec. At Mont Saint Anne, Cycling BC was able to send a team of young athletes between the ages of 14-16 on a developmental project with Cycling BC coaches to learn how to prepare and perform at a world-class level. The young riders got to see first-hand what it will take for them to be ready when they are old enough to race at that level. Race projects provide BC athletes with the experience they need to compete at the national and international level.

Our iRide youth cycling program was also able to add a fifth bike fleet in 2019, which allowed 1,500 more elementary school students in BC to experience the joy of cycling. Annually, the iRide program gives around 10,000 youth from over 60 schools and 40 community programs the opportunity to ride bikes and develop cycling skills for life.

2020 has been an exceptionally challenging year with the COVID-19 pandemic putting our programs and services on pause for the greater part of the year. With your support, we are looking forward to bouncing back in 2021. We are excited to continue making progress towards putting more kids on bikes and giving young riders at all levels an opportunity to experience cycling.

We are asking you to join us and would deeply appreciate your support on #GivingTuesday. You can start by clicking on the donate link below.
