Thanking Erin Waugh for her dedication to Cycling BC
Cycling BC members and partners,
After eight years at Cycling BC and seven as Chief Executive Officer, Erin Waugh will be leaving the organization at the end of April to pursue new opportunities in line with her recently completed Masters of Arts degree.
Throughout her tenure, Erin has played a significant role in advancing Cycling BC’s mission, growing its membership base to more than 6,000 members across British Columbia and guiding us through the complexities brought about by the pandemic.
To ensure a seamless transition, Joel Harwood, Provincial Head Coach, will temporarily step in as Interim CEO. With the support of the team, he’ll adjust his current duties and lead dedicated initiatives for the organization. With his deep knowledge of our organization and strong leadership abilities, we are confident in his ability to provide stability during this period of change.
In the coming weeks, the Board of Directors will begin the process of searching for a new CEO who will build upon our strong foundation and propel Cycling BC into its next chapter of growth and development.
On behalf of the staff and Board of Directors, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to Erin for her dedication and service to the organization and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
With appreciation,
Deb Intas
Board Chair
