The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Team Canada will be sending over 300 Canadian athletes, with 45 of them from BC, to compete at the games.
Twenty-two of those Canadian athletes are cyclists who will compete in the various cycling events at the Olympics including road, mountain bike, BMX racing, BMX freestyle, and track. BC-connected cyclists representing Canada at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games include, Erin Attwell (Victoria), Maggie Coles-Lyster (Maple Ridge), and Sarah Van Dam (Victoria) will race in Track cycling which starts Aug 5-11, while Alison Jackson (Abbotsford, orig. Vermillion, AB) will compete in Road cycling with events on July 27 (ITT) and Aug 3-4 (RR). Alternates include Teigen Pascual (Squamish) for BMX Racing (Aug 1-2), Emilly Johnston (Comox) & Carter Woods (Cumberland) for Mountain Bike (July 28-29), and Fiona Majendie (Vancouver) & Sean Richardson (Vancouver) for Track.
