From the Vancouver Cyclocross Coalition:
It’s been said there are only two things you can count on. One of them is taxes. That means the other must be the Vanier Park Cyclocross Classic, BC’s longest-running ‘cross event, back again as always for another year of knobby tired, drop bar action on Sunday, October 4th. In one of the great mysteries of the universe, the 2015 Vanier Park Cyclocross Classic transcends the boundaries of time and space, existing simultaneously as part of both the Vancouver Cyclocross Coalition series and the Cycling BC Premier CX series. Full details are at the Vanier Park Cyclocross Classic info page.
Gorgeous waterfront venue in one of Vancouver’s premier public parks? Check. Hordes of screaming ‘cross fans to make you feel like a rock star on wheels? Definitely. Mud? Perhaps. Free BBQ lunch? You betcha. Legions of pint-sized ‘crossers in the free kids races? Always. Warp speed straightaways and enough G-forces on corners to make F1 drivers jealous? Oh ya, count on it. Vanier is going to be through the roof this year, and you can be a part of it. Co-organizers West Coast Cycling and the Trek Red Truck Racing Team are holding your spot open for you. Your job is easy, just slide yourself over to online pre-registration, through to Friday, Oct. 2nd 11:59pm and you’re locked in. Pre-registered racers who also already have their 2015 VCXC bib number and timing chip will breeze through race day – look for our Fast Lane express check-in queue at the registration desk.
