Twelve athletes will represent Canada at the 2016 UCI MTB Downhill (Sept 6 – 11) and Trials (Aug 29 – Sept 3) World Championships in Val di Sole, ITA.
Downhill athletes were selected using the criteria developed by the newly formed Downhill Working Group.
Among the Canadian contingent, Finnley lles of Team Specialized Gravity powered by SRAM is currently leading the UCI World Cup standings in the junior men category.
Prior to racing the UCI World Championships, the Canadian selection will race the UCI MTB World Cup Finals in Vallnord, Andorra, taking place September 3-4.
Racing in Vallnord and Val Di Sole will be broadcast live on www.redbull.tv.
