The Legacy Performance Games were created from legacy funds generated by the hosting of the Kamloops 2011 Western Canada Summer Games in August, 2011. The Kamloops Sports Council was contracted to plan, organize, create and deliver the Legacy Performance Games.
The Kamloops Bike Ranch is a municipal mountain bike park open to the public from March through November.
Parking is available at the bottom of the bike park near the finish, as well as at the adjacent Valleyview Arena. Parking is also available at the top of the bike park near the start.
The Race The Ranch BC Cup DH course will be used, with modifications to the top section bypassing “Carnage Corner”. The course will be open for riding (following bike park rules) leading up to the competition day. Course marking and taping will take place Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Standard downhill race format, with a single timed individual downhill run electronically timed to 100th/second. A minimum of two practice runs will be enforced (shuttle provided). Racing will be run under UCI rules overseen by Cycling BC officials.
UCI or Cycling BC licenses are not required, all riders, licensed or unlicensed are welcome. Out of province athletes are invited and encouraged.
The top three athletes in each category will be recognized on the podium and will receive gold, silver or bronze Legacy Performance Games medals.
