A partnership with Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and Cycling BC iRide
iRide Prince George Camp #1 @ Caledonia Nordic Facility
A fun, safe and memorable summer program available to local participants aged 6-13. The program will use the iRide skills curriculum and the Sprockids skills curriculum to help your child build their confidence, foster friendships with their peers and develop intermediate and advanced mountain biking skills. This program connects kids with certified NCCP coaches trained to work with young people through Cycling BC’s iRide program. We offer this camp in weekly sessions with fun events including theme days, camp games, races, and lots of outdoor adventures to add to the experience.
Activities Include:
Similar to our spring programs, kids will participate in the learn-to-ride program that covers a variety of topics that involve all aspects of riding. Your kids will learn riding techniques such as uphill, downhill, tight turns, braking, gearing, and how to properly adjust their bike to fit themselves. With this weeklong camp, we will also be introducing endurance challenges with a focus on obstacles, front and back wheel lifts and single track riding, this course will challenge kids to be more successful riders.
Coaches and Groups
All our coaches will be NCCP certified instructors with additional Sprockids and First Aid Training. They will be active individuals who are excited to be a part of the program and work to help your kids improve their skills. Groups will be based on a rider’s age and abilities to ensure your child is learning at an appropriate level while having a great time.
