Hi! I am Warren, from Aldergrove and my team and I are excited to offer a new youth cycling program in the community this spring! We are passionate about our community, our trails and riding bikes with people of all ages! Let’s go riding!
Our new 6-week program offers a fun, safe and memorable community program available to local participants aged 6-10 with an iRide skill level 2-4. As recipients of a Cycling BC iRide Development Grant, my team of leaders and I have undergone NCCP-training with Cycling BC to help us utilize both the iRide skills and Sprockids skills curriculum and help your child build confidence, foster friendships and develop intermediate and advanced bicycle skills.
Our sessions plan to stay close to the park, utilize local trails, easy green trails and recreational parks to practice skills. All sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Jones Brown.
This 6-week learn-to-ride program covers a variety of topics that involve all aspects of riding. Participants will learn riding techniques such as uphill, downhill, tight turns, braking, gearing, and how to properly adjust their bike to fit themselves.
If your child enjoys their experience, check out session #2 starting May 15th, or our youth club on Thursdays! You can also check out one of Cycling BC’s iRide Summer Camps.
Weekly updates will be available for participants via a facebook group. Participants will be invited after they complete registration (View Group)
