The L’Alpe de Grand Blanc is back! In its 3rd year, this challenging 60km road bike race from Kelowna to Big White is sure to push any cyclist to their limits.
The race will start at the East Kelowna Community Hall on the corner of McCulloch Road and East Kelowna Road, and emerge onto Highway 33 at the intersection of Loseth and Highway 33 before making the left hander on to Big White Road and ending in the village.
Riders will enjoy a fully supported road ride that includes multiple rest and refreshment stops along the route.
The L’Alpe de Grande Blanc will offer up Polka Dot Jerseys for the King and Queen of the Mountain classifications, along with prizes for the fastest team, and many draw prizes thanks to our generous sponsors.
A festival atmosphere will welcome the riders to the finish line where they will be greeted with entertainment and a post ride BBQ with refreshments.
The ride will feature 2 distances – the full length of close to 60 km and a short 9.8 km hill climb for juniors/youth starting at Gem Lake parking lot and ending at the same finish line.
