Registration fee – $25
Instructor: Geordie Ma, UCI Commissaire
Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Open to: Anyone 18+
Description: This one-day introductory course is for those looking to know more about cycling officiating. The course will cover the rules, teach you how to read a license, handle registration, provide information about start/finish procedures, manual timing and much more. At the conclusion of the course, you will have a greater understanding of the role of a commissaire, increased knowledge of the mountain bike specific rules and its individual disciplines as well as understand how to progress through the ranks from a level C trainee to an international commissaire
Newly trained officials will be able to participate in CBC’s mentorship program, putting into practice the theory and skills learned at the course, under the supervision of experienced commissaires over the course of the 2019 season to complete their level C certification.
