Learn to Race ROAD54

Building upon our successful winter pilot, this event welcomes Category 4 & 5 riders who wish to improve their skills and confidence riding in a group and/or competitive setting.

This affiliated event is instructed by registered Cycling BC road instructors and administered by Escape Velocity Cycling Club. As a result, this offering is unique. Your purchase includes a skills session on May 3rd and a race-entry for the Cat 5 race on May 10th. During your first race, the instructors ride in the race, providing individualized support and meaningful feedback after the event.

Participants who carry a Cycling BC Provincial Race membership ($120) in Road Category 5 and demonstrate the required competencies may upgrade to category 4, bypassing the standard requirement of completing three cat 5 events. Learn more here. Category 4 riders or members with a UCI Cycling For All membership ($80) are welcome to attend for educational purposes or a refresher.

Registration: $50 (includes skill session + race entry) Open to all current Cycling BC members in Road Cat 5 or Cat 4, age 15+
