The NIMBY FIFTY grew out of the desire to create a premiere mountain bike race at the north end of the sea-to-sky corridor. Traditionally most sea-to-sky corridor bike races have been held in either Squamish or Whistler – never in Pemberton. That all changed in 2010.
The official opening of the epic Big NIMBY trail in summer 2009 ushered riders into Pemberton from around the region. With such a vast network of single track in close proximity to this amazing climb, the stage was set for a long distance, technical bike race.
