Elite athletes will be offered closed-course training and testing on the recently completed 1199 track in Creekside. This training opportunity will allow racers to make final preparations for National Championships and subsequent World Cup events. Team mechanics are also welcome to join, in the event that athletes wish to complete in-depth testing.
In exchange for this training opportunity, elite athletes will be required to donate their time to U15 riders for our introductory afternoon clinics. The expectation is that these elite racers will spend the afternoon sharing their experience, some simple race preparation strategies, and most importantly build relationships with others in the cycling community.
Athletes who wish to take advantage of the training time, and who can also commit to afternoon mentorship are welcome to reach out to Joel Harwood (joel@cyclingbc.net) for a passcode for registration.
Athletes who wish to take advantage of training time, but who are unable to provide mentorship will be charged a fee of $80 per day.
