AUGUST HEATS UP – THE WEST COAST PLAYS HOST TO 3 HOT XC MOUNTAIN BIKE RACES
Between August 10th and August 16th cross country mountain bike racers have the opportunity to compete in three sensational races: Cardiac Classic/XC Provincial Championships, Canada Cup Finals, and JABR/Canadian Marathon Championships.
The 2014 Cardiac Classic kicks things off on August 10th at Burnaby Mountain. Sanctioned by Cycling BC as the 2014 BC XC Provincial Championships, UCI licensed racers will compete for the title of Provincial Champion. Citizen racers have the option of 1, 2 of 3 laps suited to their racing experience. As a 3 lap course with sweet singletrack, classic downhill and some good climbin’ the Cardiac Classic is the perfect leg tune up for JABR or the Island Enduro series! For a 2nd year in a row, in association with Crankworx, Whistler hosts the Canada Cup XC Finals on August the 15th. Race alongside the best in Canada on the challenging fast Lost Lake Trails. More info about Crankworkx here.
Saturday August 16th the epic trails of Squamish will play witness to the a battle for Canadian XC Marathon supremacy. JABR racers have the option of partaking in the 40 km JABR race or the 60 km + marathon course.
