Sea to Sky residents can get the jump on the rest of the Test of Metal field with their eligibility to register early for the 20th anniversary of this venerable mountain bike race.
Residents living within the Furry Creek to D’Arcy corridor, including Squamish and Whistler, are eligible for locals-only registration, which opens December 1st, at 6:00 pm. Locals-only registration will close when all 200 reserved spaces are filled. Act quickly, as last year the race sold out in less than two hours.
Registrants must provide the appropriate proof of residency—a B.C. driver’s license or ID card as well as a secondary piece of identification—in person between 8:00am and 5:00pm, or by fax or email (scanned ID in PDF, TIF or JPG formats only) by 3:00pm on December 15 to:

Also starting on December 1, anyone can register for the Test of Metal 4-Pack, which includes all four of the Test of Metal group of races. In addition to the flagship event, races include the Orecrusher, the Gearjammer and Just Another Bike Race (JABR).
The 4-Pack, at a price of $225 (plus GST), is a 20% discount from the regular price of the four races if entries were purchased individually. There are a limited number of 4-Packs available.
Before registering, those with a free entry to one of the races and elite riders should contact the race registrar anytime after general registration opens on January 1.
The Test of Metal group of races 2015 season starts with the Orecrusher on May 9, followed by the Test of Metal presented by Nesters Market Squamish on June 20, the Gearjammer presented by GSK Chartered Accountants LLP on July 18, and concludes with the Just Another Bike Race, presented by Pearson Financial Services Ltd., on August 19. Special events have been planned for this 20th anniversary edition, including a sneak preview of the inaugural Squamish Craft Beer Festival, which will take place in July.
