Mike Charuk, XC Coach with Cycling BC and Team Squamish’s head Coach, will be heading up a skills camp this weekend after the Sunshine Coaster XC race on the Sunshine Coast.
Riders are to meet at the podium directly after the podium awards are done. Athletes will head out for a recovery ride and will have an opportunity to chat to some of the Elite riders. Coach Mike Charuk will notify riders and parents of their pickup time and location.
Sunday riders will meet at the Gumboot Cafe in Roberts Creek for 9 am SHARP (that means on the bikes and riding away at 9 am). Athletes will be working on:
- Pre race Routines
- Starts and Sprints
- Skills and Tactics
Riders will have an opportunity to explore the incredible trails that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Athletes will arrive at the Ferry Terminal by bike. For those that are staying on the coast without a parent, arrangements will be made for your gear to be at the Ferry Terminal for you.
