The 2016 Downhill World Cup concluded on Saturday in Vallnord, Andorra, with Round 7, where Whistler’s Finnley Iles (Specialized Racing) won the Junior men’s overall title. In just his first year as a Junior – also his first year racing the series – Iles has had an incredible run in the World Cup, winning three of the six races he started, with close second place in the remaining three (Iles missed the second round of the series due to injury).
After qualifying first in Vallnord, Iles finished second to Gaetan Vige in the final run. Canadian rider Magnus Manson (Canadian National), from Sechelt, was fourth.
